
Saururus- Saururus, is a combination of two Greek words, sauros, meaning “lizard,” and oura meaning “tail.” Cernuus means “nodding,” a reference to its drooping flowers.
A plant also known as Swamp Lily, Breastweed, Water Dragon and Lizard Tail.
Lizard’s Tail has curvy spikes with hundreds of tiny white flowers make up each spike. The spikes are 6 to 8 inches longw with the tip arching down. Tiny green fruits develop as the flower matures and turn brown which is said to look like a lizard tail.
